Miss
Hancocks Bert, or “Bert” as we call her, is a foundation bred
bulldog style Quarter Horse. She is traced to the AQHA Hall-of-Famer, Joe
Hancock, on her sire’s side, and the AQHA Hall-of-Famer, Billy
Clegg and Steeldust on her dam’s side.
Bert was recently bred to Impresserlater, a reserve champion
halter stud owned by Len Quigley of Clyde, New York, for a May 2004
foal. She is now in
foal to Mr.
Magic Zip of Anderson Quarter Horses for a 2005 foal.
Bert
throws large, intelligent, and docile foals. She also has a lot of
“cow sense” and is extremely intelligent. We lost her once
for a whole day when she became entangled in large wild grape vines.
She answered us when we called so we could locate her and cut her
loose! Most horses would have panicked and hurt themselves
trying to get loose. Bert didn’t even panic when the herd left
her behind. She just waited patiently for us to find and free her! She
didn’t have a mark on her!
Bert
has many, many trail miles and is a quiet, dependable lesson
horse.
Bert
is the dam of Impressives Redwood

Redwood or “Red”, as we call her, traces to the AQHA hall of
famer, Impressive on the sire’s side and AQHA Hall-of-Famer,
Joe Hancock on her dam’s side. Red was bred to Mr
Magic Zip from Anderson
Quarter Horses for 2004 & 2005. Her 2004 filly, Redwoods
Zippinmagic, is in the show circuit in Middletown, NY with Miguel
Agredano. Her 2005 colt, Zips Dakota Magic, is well started and
is for sale (see Sale page).
Red is in foal now to Dynamic Presence from Lone
Presence Quarter Horses of Bullville, NY. Dynamic Presence
is the grandson of the great Dynamic Deluxe. We expect a really
nice foal from this combination! Check back in March of 2007 and
see what we got from "Red" & "Studley"!
Red
started in our lesson program in 2004, was started as a 2 yr. old and has many hours on the trails, some
cattle roundup experience, and some local showing experience.
Red will start in our lesson program this year. She is very quiet,
level headed, and loves people and attention.
Red
is the daughter of Miss Hancocks Bert and Impresserlater
named above.

Jazz
& Erica "Cuttin' Up!"
A
Jazzy Investment or “Jazzy” as we call her, is our first show
prospect. Jazzy is a granddaughter to the NSBA Hall-of-Famer, The
Invester, and great-granddaughter to AQHA Hall-of-Famer, Zippo
Pat Bars. She has Feature and the AQHA Hall-of-Famer,
Impressive, on her dam’s side.
Jazzy
is beautifully built, correct, and has an extremely laid back
disposition. She is a joy to work with. In September 2003 at the
Empire State Quarter Horse Fall Show in Syracuse, she took 8th
place in the 2 yr old snaffle bit class and 2nd in the 2 yr
old mares halter.
For
her first AQHA show, we think she did great!
Our
daughter Erica did a great job showing Jazzy early summer 2004 in
Youth Western Pleasure. However, late summer found Jazzy with dental
problems that prohibited any further showing for 2004.
Under Dan & Jill's direction, Erica & Jazzy did very well with
limited showing in 2005. They finished the season with 1.5 AQHA
point in youth showmanship; 1 reserve halter championship; and
ESQHYA points. 2006 has been a great year so far. Erica
& Jazzy have collected 6.5 AQHA points in youth showmanship, 2
reserve halter championships, numerous ESQHYA points, and of course
qualifying for congress!
Look for Erica & Jazzy at the All American Quarter House Congress
in October.

Everso
Impressive or “Eve”, as we call her, is a daughter of superior
halter stud, Feature, and granddaughter to AQHA
Hall-of-Famer,
Impressive. Eve throws large, beautiful, modern-looking
foals. She was left open for use in the lesson program.
Eve
does
a little of everything! She has been my daughter’s show horse for
the past few years and is a very quiet lesson horse, particularly with
very young children. Eve has many, many trail miles, some cattle
roundup experience, and a shuffle in the show arena that brings in the
ribbons!
